Defensive Firearm Classes
Why are these people smiling ? Because they just took a FREE firearm class sponsored by the Home Defense Foundation.
Our classes are designed for people with little or no experience with firearms. We use models that are easy to fire, have little or no recoil and are not too loud. And guess what ? That's all you need ! Statistics prove that if you are about to be attacked and you present a firearm the criminal is likely to flee.
You don't need a gigantic "hand cannon." All you need is something you know how to use.
Here is our Regular Class Schedule for March of 2018. To take these classes simply show up at the range, 212 Aycock Street, in Arabi, at 5:45. Get directions by going to the range's website, StBisc.com - or call them at (504) 982 5433.
MARCH REGULAR CLASS SCHEDULE:
Wednesday, March 14th: "Shotguns" There are so many different types of shotguns: For example, some use 12 gauge shells (large) some use 20 gauge (medium) and some use "410" shells (small). Some shotguns are held up to your shoulder (they use a full stock) and some can be fired like a pistol (they use a pistol grip). And there are plenty of other variations as well. Come to this class and learn about shotguns and try firing one.
Monday, March 26th: AR Style Firearms What is an "AR" style firearm? How is it different from a rifle, shotgun or pistol? Are AR firearms hard to control or aim? Do they have to have a lot of recoil? What calibers are they available in? Come to this class taught by our great instructors Morris Gray and Charlie McGrath and learn all about this type of firearm - and actually fire one or two models.
OTHER CLASSES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
In addition to these classes, we also offer classes by appointment. Come to a meeting to discuss these with us. If you assemble a small group, say, 3 - 4 people, we will work with you and try to cover any topic you are interested in.
All of the classes are easy and user friendly. Our students seem to LOVE them, as you can tell by the great smiles below
Our classes are great for young people also!
